Choosing the floor material
What should the floor use: micro topping, liquid terrazzo or tiles? Compare pros and cons, prioritising cost and ease of maintenance. If tiles: the most important things are non-slip, not glossy or glaring (prefer rough), soft on the eyes, few grout lines. What kinds of Matt glaze exist (satin, smooth...), suppliers, prices...?

Tiles with a Matt glaze surface, Granite or Porcelain body.
- Large-format tiles, dark floor: Matt glaze surface, Granite or Porcelain body; epoxy grout (Lukyta or Saveto).
- A custom pattern can be laid, in pleasant colours; avoid glossy light-coloured tiles (get dirty easily, show sweaty footprints).
- Bathroom: the best-quality anti-slip tiles.
